Kern Delta Water Supply Update
The 2026 summer irrigation season has come to a close. Over the weekend the Eastside Canal finished its summer run, leaving only the Kern Island and its laterals in operation. The Kern Island will continue to follow the “run of the river” till shutting down sometime in December.
The Water Association of Kern County (WAKC) will be hosting their inaugural clay shoot on Saturday, October 17th at the Kern County Gun Club. In addition to looking for individual and team shooters, WAKC is also looking for station and event sponsors. More information can be found on this flyer and use this link to register.
