Kern River Status Update
Last week, the Department of Water Resources updated its 1 B-120 forecast for the year. The DWR forecast predicts that the April through July runoff for the Kern River will be around 55% of normal. This forecast is based on observed conditions through April 14. The District is currently waiting for DWR to update its State Water Project allocation. Once the District has that updated figure a proration will follow shortly.

Work related to the Centennial Corridor Project that will impact the operation of the Stine Canal is expected to begin in late April. The Stine Canal will remain off through May.
