The 2026 summer irrigation season is quickly coming to a close as River flows continue to drop and utility water supplies in storage in Lake Isabella are being exhausted. Last Sunday the Farmers and Stine Service Areas completed their runs. As the month progresses, the following changes to operations will take place.
- The Kern Island and its laterals will be utilizing a waitlist as available supply will be based on the “run of the River” starting on Sunday, August 9th.
- The Buena Vista canal and laterals will shut down on Tuesday, August 11th.
- The Eastside Canal will shut down on Sunday, August 16th.
