Kern River Status Update
The District intends to continue running all canals. All growers are encouraged to utilize surface supplies while available.
As part of this historic year the District has and will continue to utilize District spreading facilities to capture surface water and replenish the local aquifer. Below is an aerial photo taken of our Stonefield Spreading Facility.
Growers are reminded that when they place an order for water they are expected to maintain that flow rate for the entire duration of their run. If adjustments need to be made in the middle of the run the grower is required to inform dispatch immediately. If a grower is caught throttling or shutting off without notice additional restrictions will be enacted.
Reminder, you may place your water order via email. Water orders must still be placed no later than 10:30 a.m., and twenty four (24) hours prior to the requested delivery or shutoff. Water orders can be sent to waterorder@kerndelta.org and a confirmation email will be sent once it has been received. |
